OBERLENDER

Oberlender Johan Wilhelm
Nuremberg, 1681-1763

Oberlender, along with Denner, has been one of the major German constructors at the beginning of the 18th century. Like for the "Denner" flutes, also this instrument follows the sound characteristics of that period, we mean definite and intense. Powerful and dark, it is ideal to interpret the German music of Baroque period. This instrument has a very long headjoint that, for certain point of view, is similar to the "J.H.Rottenbourgh" one.
The embouchure is round and not particularly big.

Pitch - A: 415 Hz.

Can be requested in European Boxwood, Blackwood Grenadillo or Synthetic Ebony.
